Sex-O-Rama 2 by Original Soundtrack - Recorded at Sound Asylum, Pasadena, California. Oglio Records has a little bit of porn on the brain. In 1998, the label unearthed the rare soundtrack to THE DEVIL IN MISS JONES, a surprisingly haunting artifact of the pre-AIDS era. 1997's SEX-O-RAMA 1 was a high-concept studio project in which a group of crack players transcribed key segments from such (in)famous films as DEEP THROAT, BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR, and SEKA'S FANTASIES. Utilizing the recording techniques of the time, the pseudonymous band reproduced the classic, funky '70s sounds of the blue movies-"technicolor" wah-wah guitar, analog synths, and electric piano doodlin'. Unfortunately, Oglio neglected to secure copyright clearance for these "compositions," and SEX-O-RAMA 1 was forcibly withdrawn. SEX-O-RAMA 2 followed, featuring the same players and all-original pieces. The sound here is even more sharply guitar-laden. Bassist "Haywood Jablomi" particularly distinguishes himself with his fluid, snaking lines.
